MLAX Ospreys Surge Past Knights In Second Half

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team could not hold off Richard Stockton College 17-9, in non-conference action.

Kevin Fonio, Ryan Lee, Drew Millard and Ryan O'Kane scored two goals each to lead the Knights. But Chris Scott was fantastic serving up six assist in the contest.

The first period belonged to the Knights even they didn't score the first goal. O'Kane, Millard scoredeven strength goals and then Fonio and Lee scored man up goals.

Neumann took a 4-2 lead after the first period. Neumann took a 6-2 halfway through the second period, but Stockton stormed, as they scored threegoals and close the gap a bring themselves back to a one goal deficit before halftime 6-5. In the third period, the game remained tight, but the Ospreys finished the period outscoring the Knights with a three goal advantage and give the Ospreys a lead that they wouldn't relinquish leading 11-8.

The final period belonged to the Ospreys with six more goals to add to their total. Alexander Becker made 31 saves in the game.

Both teams served many minutes in the sin bin, but the Ospreys were more productive scoring five out of eight opportunities. The Knights were four for 12.

The Knights (0-3) travel to Elizabethtown College on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
