GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team edged Arcadia University with 10-9 win in non-conference action, Wednesday evening.

In a close game that went back and forth, Amanda Fedak, Taylor Villarreaal, Koula Gregor and Meghan Garsey each scored two goals to lead the Knights.

Arcadia opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the match and it surely wasn't the start the Knights wanted, but Alexa McIntyre answered with a goal shortly after to tie the game at 1-1.

The Knights had the lead just before halftime, but Villarreal gave Arcadia something to think about, as she scored with 28 remaining in the half to extend the Knights lead 7-5.

In the second half, Arcadia scored two goals in quick succession to tie the game at 7-7 with 22:19 remaining in the game.

With the game on the line and the Knights goal getting peppered with shot after shot. Chrissy Hughes made saves that gave the Knights extra incentive to get a goal and take the lead. On cue, the Knights did so and Gregor gave Neumann an 8-7 lead. A little over 30 seconds later, Villarreal scored her second goal of the night to give the Knights a 9-7 lead.

Arcadia drew back two goals, but Fedak squeezed in a goal in between Arcadia's goal to extend the Knights unbeaten streak to three games.
Chrissy Hughes made 14 saves on the day, but most would say "That girl is on fire" when speaking about her performance.

"Composure was the key for us today," mentioned Coach Malone. "I am very proud of our progress and this was a terrific win for us today."

The Knights (3-0) host Ursinus College on Sunday, March 10 at 12 p.m.
