ASTON, Pa. The Neumann University men's lacrosse team suffered their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) defeat against Marywood University 16-6, Saturday afternoon.

The Knights weren't able to get settled early on in the game, as the Pacers got off to a 4-0 lead in the first period.

The second period started out dreadful for the Knights as they gave up two quick goals. The first goal came seven seconds into the second period and the second goal came 22 seconds later for the Pacers to take a 6-0 lead.

Marywood continued to press the Knights goal and added three more goals before halftime. Chris Scott drew a goal back for the Knights and trailed the Pacers 9-1 at the halftime break.

The Pacers outscored the Knights 7-5 in the second half and Patrick Rose scored three goals in the game.

Andrew Neubauer and Alex Becker combined for 13 saves in the game. Ryan Eber picked up eight ground balls.

The Knights (1-6, 0-1 CSAC) get right back at it, as they take on non-conference opponents Albright College Monday, March 25 at 4 p.m.
