ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team got back in the win column by defeating Cedar Crest College 20-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights were led by Rebecca Dolenti with five goals. Sam Kotowski was five minutes away from getting a shutout, while grabbing nine saves in the game. Lauren Frampton patrolled the turf field looking for litter and picked up seven ground balls along the way.

The Knights overpowered the Falcons in the first half of play with 15 goals.  They scored eight goals in the first 10 minutes, five goals in the middle third of the game and two goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half.

Amanda Fedak, Meghan Garsey and Dolenti each scored a hat trick in the first half.

The Knights pursued a possession game in the second half. Cedar Crest wasn't able to produce a run of goals, but they were able to stop the Knights from getting a shutout. The Falcons scored with 5:07 remaining in the game.

"It was great to get a win today and with having three games in four days, we were able to go to our bench rather early," said Coach Malone.

Neumann (12-3, 6-1 CSAC) will travel to nationally ranked No. 9 TCNJ Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
