Men's Lacrosse Drops Home Finale

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team were shutout by Cabrini College 21-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), Thursday afternoon.
 
Cabrini was able to get on the scoreboard fairly quickly, as the Cavaliers scored 29 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. The Cavaliers would score six more times in the first period to hold a 7-0 lead.
 
The Knights tried desperately to get back into game, but the Cavaliers continued to press for more goals and added four more goals in the second period with an 11-0 halftime lead.
 
After the Cavaliers scored their eighth goal of the game, starter Alex Becker came out and he was replaced by Andrew Neubauer. Becker made seven saves and Neubauer made 11 saves in the game.
 
Ryan Eber led the Knights with six shots in the game and five were on target. The Cavaliers goaltender, Chris Treat, took away would be goals from Eber.
 
Neumann gave up 10 second half goals against a Cabrini team loaded with players. The Cavaliers gained an advantage in shots 48 to the Knights 20 and in face-offs 21 to 4.
 
The Knights (1-10, 0-4 CSAC) will return to action when they compete against CSAC opponents, Rosemont College away on Saturday, April 20 at 4 p.m.
