ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann/Cabrini women's lacrosse game today will not only be playing for a win in the CSAC conference today but they will be playing for go Jen go foundation. Game time set for 4:00pm at Neumann University.
The Go Jen Go Foundation raises funds to “provide financial assistance and emotional support” to those battling breast cancer and their families. The foundation also donates money to other charitable organizations that offer resources to breast cancer patients and research.
While Neumann head coach Christy Malone and Cabrini head coach Jackie Neary were at a recruiting clinic, they had the opportunity to speak with Joe Pagani. Christy & Jackie were eager to help spread the word of the go Jen go Foundation to the Philadelphia area.
“After meeting Joe & hearing his wife's story, Jackie & I instantly knew we wanted to lend a helping hand. The go Jen go foundation touched our hearts and we hope that promoting their organization today will help spread awareness of all the great work they are doing.”
The foundation was started by Pagani and his wife Jen, following the discovery of her breast cancer in 2007. The mother of two young boys was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. In the years since, Jen has undergone some 17 different chemo treatments, multiple radiation treatments and experimental skin treatments.
