ASTON, Pa. – The No. 2 Neumann University women's lacrosse team defeated the No. 3 Marywood University Pacers 20-10 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinals, Wednesday evening.

Lexy Wilkinson led the Knights with five goals and Koula Gregor scored four goals to help propel the Knights into the CSAC finals.

The Knights scored the first nine goals and they never looked back. Gregor started the onslaught of goals just 25 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Gregor scored her second goal of the game with 22:06 remaining in the first half to give Neumann a 6-0 lead. Gregor was behind Marywood's net, as she shaked and baked around her defender, until she found herself in from of the goal.  The fans awaited her release of the ball in anticipation of a goal that suspensefully came to fruition.

Emily Sanders won the ensuing draw control, trucking her way to the net and unloaded an accurate shot for the Knights seventh goal.

Wilkinson tap-danced her way to the net for Neumann's ninth goal to give them a 9-0 lead.
Marywood was able to chip away into the Knights lead by scoring the next three goals in a span of 1:42 seconds.

Neumann used a three goal run to counter the Pacers run and take a 12-3 lead into halftime.
Marywood showed their resilience and athleticism in the second half after the Knights scored the first goal to take a 13-3 lead. The Pacers scored the next four goals and apply mental anxiety for the Knights.
Neumann withstood the Pacers pockets of runs and calmly swung the game and momentum in their favor, as they scored the next six out of seven goals.

Chrissy Hughes came up with some quality saves, as she total seven saves on the day and ate up eight ground balls.

In the end, the Knights were in form and Wilkinson was the attacking maestro and the Pacers didn't have an answer for her scoring prowess.

The Knights excelled in every statistical category for the exception of the Pacers 23-9 advantage in draw controls.

Neumann earns their way to the CSAC Championship on Saturday, May 4 against Cabrini College. The last time that the Knights were in the finals was in 2001 against Cabrini and ironically enough, it was against Coach Malone who was a starter on the Cabrini team.
