Volleyball Drops Two at Haverford Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team dropped its first two matches at the Haverford Invitational on Saturday. The Knights fell to Susquehanna 3-1 and host Haverford 3-0.

Neumann fell in four sets to Susquehanna. The Crusaders won the first set 25-18. The teams then split the next two sets, both by 26-24 scores. Susquehanna won the match in the fourth set by a 25-19 score.

Katelin Kuklentz led the Knights with 14 kills and 13 digs against Susquehanna. Kelsey D'Imperio added nine kills and hit .353 in the match. She also added five blocks. Ashley Clark handed out 36 assists. Elaina Shooster and Julia Malseed each added 11 digs.

Against host Haverford, Neumann fell in three sets 25-16, 25-21, 25-18. Kuklentz again led the Knights with 12 kills and hit .321 in the match. Clark dished out 23 assists.

Danielle Kwapisz notched nine digs while Kuklentz added eight.

Neumann (0-2) will face Catholic and Widener tomorrow in day two of the Haverford Invitational beginning at 10:00 AM.
