Volleyball Splits at Day Two of Haverford Invitational

HAVERORD, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team split a pair of games at day two of the Haverford Invitational on Sunday morning. The Knights defeated Catholic, 3-0, before falling to Widener 3-0.

The Knights defeated Catholic in three sets, 25-15, 25-22, 25-19. Katelin Kuklentz led the Knights with 16 kills with a hitting percentage of .424 while adding five service aces. Gianna Jones had 10 kills and hit .412 in the three sets. Kelsey D'Imperio added nine kills while hitting .389.

Ashley Clark handed out 38 assists. Julia Malseed notched 13 digs while Danielle Kwapisz added 11.

Widener won the second match in three sets, 25-19, 25-21 and a close 26-24.

Jones had six kills and no errors for a .429 hitting percentage. Kuklentz had nine kills and 15 digs. D'Imperio added eight kills and Kwapisz had 10 digs. Clark dished out 31 assists.

Neumann (1-3) heads to the Buttermaker Classic at Muhlenberg College next Friday and Saturday.
