LANGHORNE, Pa. – Erica Marvel reached 1,000 points in her career as the Neumann University women's basketball team defeated Cairn University 86-43 on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest.

Marvel surpassed the 1,000 point mark on a three pointer just six seconds into the game. She finished with 13 points as five players reached double-digits. Nicole Fallon finished with 17 points, leading the Knights. Colleen Hinde netted 14 points. JoHanna Metzger had a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards. Jordan Ogden also netted 13 points.

With the teams tied at six, the Knights went on to score 10 straight points for a 16-6 lead. With 7:47 left in the first half, Neumann built a 21 points advantage, 35-14. The Knights held a 53-26 lead at the half.

Neumann held control throughout the second half as well, holding a lead as large as 44, 80-36, with 5:47 left in regulation. The Knights then cruised to the 86-43 win.

Neumann (11-7, 8-3 CSAC) will travel to Manhattanville College on Monday for non-conference action beginning at 6:00 PM.
