ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's hockey team defeated Stevenson University 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Kelly Fox had a goal and an assist for the Knights. Grace Klienbach handed out two assists. Justina Mayr made 31 saves in net.

The Mustangs lit the lamp first, 9:18 into the first period. Fox scored her goal, off an assist from Klienbach, five minutes later on a 2-on-0 rush.

Meghan Power scored the only goal of the second period to give Neumann a 2-1 lead heading into the final 20 minutes of play. Fox and Klienbach drew the assists.

Casey Kilduff netted the eventual game-winner 3:35 into the third period. Jessica Langdon and Jaclyn King tallied the assists and Neumann took a 3-1 lead. Stevenson scored a power play goal at the 11:50 mark for a one goal game. The Mustangs pulled their goalie while on a power play for the final 1:40 of regulation, but they could not get the puck into the net to tie the game.

Neumann (4-10-1) and Stevenson (5-12-1) will meet again tomorrow afternoon in non-conference action. The Knights will be wearing special jerseys as they play their Skate for the Cause game to being awareness to suicide prevention. The puck is slated to drop at 3:00 PM.
