MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Neumann University men's hockey team fell to Middlebury College 3-1 in the championship game of the Middlebury Holiday Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Brandon Gagne and Jory Mullin were named to the All-Tournament team.

Middlebury scores its three goals in the second period. Two of the goals were scored 34 seconds apart while the Panthers were on a five-minute power play.

Shane Topf broke the shutout bid with 5:22 left in the third period. Anthony Pino and Casey Rogers tallied the assists for the Knights.

Braely Torris made 29 saves in net.

The loss breaks Neumann's six game unbeaten streak. The Knights are now 5-4-3 overall and will travel to Fredonia for a pair of non-conference games next Friday and Saturday.
