Box Score 2 ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team dropped a pair of games at the Knights Fall Classic on Saturday. The Knights fell 3-1 to Emory & Henry and then 3-2 to Catholic.
Kelsey D'Imperio was named to the All-Classic Team.
In the first match, the Knights fell to the Wasps in four sets, 25-12, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23. D'Imperio notched 18 kills to lead Neumann while Anna Waltz added 11. Kat Wolf handed out 43 assists.
Julia Malseed anchored the defense with 22 digs. Waltz and Kristine Quinn each added 12.
Against Catholic, both teams battled, but the Knights fell 3-2. Set scores were 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12.
D'Imperio notched 19 kills while Waltz had 14 and Faith Cook added 10. Wolf dished out 57 assists. The team had eight service aces. Ashley Clark and D'Imperio each netted seven block solos.
Malseed led four Knights in double digits in digs with 19. Waltz had 15, Elaine Shooster 12 and Quinn 11.
Neumann (16-8) heads to Notre Dame on Tuesday for non-conference action beginning at 7:00 PM.
