ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team shutout Hood College 5-0 on Thursday evening in non-conference action.

Jordan Hopkins scored twice for the Knights. Kenya Woods and Lindsey Spatola both had a goal and an assist. Summer Sklivas made the one save needed in net. Neumann outshot Hood 23-5 overall and 17-1 on net.

Hopkins got Neumann on the board first in the second minute. Becky Guinto drew the assist on the only goal the Knights would end up needing. Spatola put the Knights up 2-0 in the 24^th minute off an assist from Woods. Neumann held the 2-0 lead at halftime.

Hopkins scored her second goal of the game 1:17 into the second half. Spatola tallied the assist. Alexis Damask scored the fourth goal after a scrum in front of the net. Woods capped the scoring in the 60^th minute, putting the ball in the cage off a rebound.

Neumann (9-6) will host Notre Dame at 11:00 AM on Saturday morning as the first athletic event on Homecoming Saturday.
