ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team picked up two Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) wins against Cedar Crest College and Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday evening. The Knights defeated the Falcons 3-1 and the Griffins 3-0.
In the first match, Danielle Kwapisz notched her 1,000th career dig. She finished with nine in the match.
Neumann started with a 3-1 win against Cedar Crest. Set scores were 25-16, 25-8, 23-25, 25-6. Anna Waltz tallied 15 kills in the match while Kelsey D'Imperio added 11. Kat Wolf handed out 27 assists. Elaina Shooster matched Kwapisz with nine digs as well. The team had 18 service aces, led by Julia Malseed with four.
Against Gwynedd Mercy, the Knights came away with the straight set win, 25-13, 25-14, 25-14. Amanda McAleer and Waltz led Knights with nine kills each, as 17 players hit the court in the second straight match. McAleer also notched four service aces. Wolf handed out 27 assists.
Neumann (15-6, 7-0 CSAC) will host the Fall Classic this weekend. The Knights will play Rutgers-Camden on Friday and then Emory & Henry and Catholic on Saturday.
