Volleyball Advances in ECAC Southeast Tournament

11/14/2014 1:27:00 PM

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team will travel to Lebanon Valley College on Saturday morning in the semifinals of the ECAC Tournament.

The Knights defeated DeSales in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday evening in a thrilling five seter, 3-2. Kelsey D'Imperio and Anna Waltz each had 18 kills. Kat Wolf added 53 assists. The defense came up big with the help of Julia Malseed and Anna Waltz. Malseed had 26 digs while Waltz had 24.

Neumann and Lebanon Valley faced each other in the regular season. Lebanon Valley came away with the 3-0 win. The Knights are looking to have a similar outcome as they did with DeSales. The regular season outcomes did not matter to the Knights when it came to DeSales and will not matter when they face off against Lebanon Valley.

No. 2 seeded Swarthmore will face No. 3 seeded Marymount on Saturday in the other semifinal match. The winners will face each other for the ECAC Southeast Championship at 7:00 PM on Saturday evening. The consolation match will begin at 4:00 PM.

Tickets for the Tournament will be $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and $2 for students.
