ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team dropped an 86-61 decision to Rowan University on Wednesday evening to wrap up the 2014 portion of the season.

DeShawn Lowman led the Knights with 13 points. Kevin Green added 11.

The first half was competitive as the teams battled back and forth. With 6:12 left in the first, Pierre Charles connected on a lay-up to tie the game at 21. Shakeem Stevens gave the Knights a two-point lead on a lay-up minute later. The Profs went on to score the next seven points to take a 28-23 advantage.

Rowan connected on the last two baskets of the half and took a 36-30 lead into the break.

The Profs came out of the locker room on fire and opened with an 8-1 run to extend their lead to 13, 44-31. Rowan continued to build its lead steadily throughout the half to come away with the 86-61 win.

Neumann (5-4) will now take off for the Christmas break. The Knights get back on the court on January 3 when they travel to Rutgers-Camden for the first of five road games. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
