RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell at Cabrini College, 81-60, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Wednesday evening.
DeShawn Lowman led the Knights with 17 points. Tyreek Riddick added 12 points. James Butler pulled down 13 rebounds.
The first half remained close with the teams remaining within reach of a few baskets. Pierre Charles hit a jumper with 15 seconds remaining in the first half to give Neumann a 35-34 edge at halftime.
The Knights came out of half time and scored 10 of the first 12 points to take a 45-36 lead. The Cavaliers took advantage of a Knights drought and went on a 26-0 run over a six minute period to take control of in a 62-45 game. Eric Cotton snapped the scoreless drought with a layup.
Neumann would get back to within 12, but the hill was too high and Cabrini held off a come-back-attempt for the 81-60 win.
Neumann (4-3, 1-1 CSAC) will host Keystone on Saturday in CSAC action. Tip-off is at 1:00 PM.
