ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's basketball team won by double digits Saturday afternoon against Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action by a score of 80-68.
James Butler led the Knights with a double-double, 19 points and 11 rebounds. DeShawn Lowman had 14 and Tyreek Riddick added 13 points. Shakeem Stevens and Kevin Green both tallied 11 points each.
Neumann never trailed in the game, though Keystone got within one point a few times. With the Knights leading 25-21, they went on a 12-1 run to take a 37-22 advantage. Neumann took a 43-30 lead into the half.
The Knights used the lead built in the first half to hold the Giants at bay in the second half. Keystone would get to within nine early and late in the half, but could not get any closer. Four free throws by Riddick in the final minute sealed the win.
Neumann (5-3, 2-1 CSAC) is off until after finals. The Knights will host Rowan on December 17 with tip-off at 7:00 PM.
