ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell to Oswego State 3-2 in ECAC West action on Saturday afternoon.

Bek Lucas and Shanelle Doucette each had a goal and an assist. Justina Mayr made 18 saves in net. The Knights outshot the Lakers 36-21.

Doucette opened the scoring in the game, 11:54 into the first period. Lucas and Kelly Fox notched the assists. Oswego tied the game with 3:15 left in the first. The Lakers then netted a power play goal with 11 seconds left for a 2-1 advantage.

Oswego scored the eventual game-winner with 3:35 left in the second period. Lucas scored a minute later to keep Neumann within one before heading into the final 20 minutes. Doucette and Lindsey Spatola drew the helpers.

The Knights were not able to get the equalizer in the third period.

Neumann (1-9-1, 1-7 ECAC West) will take the semester break. The Knights will head back to the ice on January 9 and 10 at New England College.
