Women's Basketball Clinches No. 2 Seed, Defeats BBC

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with an 80-45 win over Baptist Bible College on Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Colleen Hinde led five Knights in double-digits with 17 points. JoHanna Metzger added 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jessica Schlesman netted 14 points. Lauren Walker notched 11 points and 11 rebounds. Erica Marvel added 11 points as well. Amanda Censullo hit three three-pointer for nine points.

The Knights made their first run of the game with the score tied at six. Neumann went on to score the next nine points to take a 15-6 advantage. The Knights steadily built their lead throughout the rest of the half and held a 47-25 lead at the break.

The Defenders opened the second half by scoring the first 10 points. A three-pointer by Hinde ended any attempt for BBC to chip back into the game. The Knights answered by scoring 12 straight points, including Hinde's basket, for a 24 point advantage, 59-35. Neumann the cruised the rest of the way en route to the win.

Neumann (15-9, 12-4 CSAC) will be the No. 2 seed in the CSAC playoffs. The Knights will receive a bye in the first round on Monday and will host a semifinal game on Wednesday evening.
