Men's Hockey Closes Regular Season with 2-2 Draw

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey played to a 2-2 draw in the regular season finale at Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon.

Casey Rogers assisted on both goals for the Knights. Ben Curley made 21 saves in net. Neumann outshot Nazareth 39-23.

The Golden Flyers scored the only goal of the first period. Nazareth then took a 2-0 lead with 5:33 left in the second period.

Neumann got on the board a minute later when Ryan Luiten found the back of the net. Collin O'Neil and Rogers had the assists.

Shayne Morrissey tied the game at two with a power play goal at the 6:32 mark of the third period. Rogers and Chris Bournazos had the helpers.


Neumann had a power play in the overtime session, but could not convert and the teams ended tied at two.

Neumann finished the regular season 9-11-5 overall and 4-8-3 in conference action. The Knights be the No. 5 seed inthe postseason and will travel to No. 4 Mnhattanville for the first round, which gets underway on Wednesday night.
