Neumann Rebounds to Topple Giants

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Keystone College 81-67 on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

DeShawn Lowman led all scorers with 26 points, including going 10-for-13 from the line. Reggie Coleman added 18 points and went a perfect 12-for-12 from the line. Mark Blount notched a double-double with 15 rebounds and 14 points. Kevin Green added 12 points.

Keystone was strong out of the gate and built an early 11-2 advantage. Neumann then started to connect on some of its shots and started to make a move with five minutes left in the first half and the score 33-26. The Knights scored the next seven points to pull even at 33 with 2:50 on the clock. Neumann then ended the half on a 13-5 run to take a 46-38 lead into the locker room.

Keystone stayed persistent as the second half start and pulled to within one, 61-60, midway through the half. The Giants remained within a few points and it looked like it was going to come down the stretch as the score was 68-66 with five minutes remaining. However, Keystone would manage only one more point and Neumann made key shots and free throws as the clock continued to wind down. The Knights came away with the 81-67 win.

Neumann (15-6, 10-4 CSAC) will put its four game winning streak on the line at Immaculata on Wednesday evening in conference action beginning at 8:00 PM.
