IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team opened Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a convincing 15-3 win over Immaculata University on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.
Lex McIntyre and Jordan Hopkins each netted three goals and an assist to lead the Knights. Rebecca Dolenti, Lexy Wilkinson, Mandy Fedak and Koula Gregor each notched a pair of goals. Sam Kotowski made 13 saves in net. Emily Sanders picked up eight ground balls.
McIntyre and Fedak gave Neumann an early 3-0 lead. The ended the half with six straight goals, including three within 1:20 span. The Knights held a 9-1 lead at the half.
Neumann continued its dominance into the second half and scored the first four goals of the half. The teams traded goals during the final 15 minutes and the Knights came away with the 15-3 win.
Neumann (3-2, 1-0 CSAC) will host the College of New Jersey on Saturday. Action is slated to get underway at 12:00 PM.
