Women's Lacrosse Can't Solve Lions

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to The College of New Jersey 22-6 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Gabbey Murray netted two goals for the Knights. Jordan Hopkins had a goal and an assist. Sam Kotowski started in net and made six saves in 47+ minutes. Becca Wallace made one save in 12+ minutes.

Most of the action game in the first half. TCNJ opened up a 7-1 lead nine minutes into the game. Murray and Hopkins then netted goals to 26 seconds apart for a 7-3 game. That was the only time Neumann would netted back-to-back goals. The Lions continued to pour on the pressure and held an 18-5 lead at the break.

Murray opened the scoring in the second half, but that would be the only goal the Knights would score in the final 30 minutes. The Lions scored the final four goals for the 22-6 final.

Neumann (3-3) will host King's on Monday evening in a rescheduled game from February. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
