ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team outlasted Marywood University 8-7 on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Jordan Hopkins led the Knights with three goals. Christina Hughes made 15 saves in net for the win. Hughes and Lex McIntyre both grabbed eight ground balls.

Hopkins scored all three of her goals in the first half as the Knights held a 3-2 lead after a low scoring first half.

Scoring came more frequently in the second half as each team was able to net five goals. The Pacers tied the game at three 1:31 into the second half. The teams continued to go back and forth between one goal leads and tied scores.

With 3:07 left in regulation, Mandy Fedak scored to put the Knights up 8-7. Neumann held on to the lead to come away with the one goal win.

Neumann (5-3, 2-0 CSAC) will host Wesley College on Monday evening in a rescheduled game. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
