SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team gave up an early lead and fell at Swarthmore College 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday afternoon.

Jessica Harrell put the Knights on the board just one minute into the game as she redirected a shot from Jordan Hopkins into the net. Lindsey Spatola, off an assist from Carolynn Bacho, gave the Knights an early 2-0 lead two minutes later.

The Garnet cut the lead in half in the 11^th minute. The teams played a 2-1 game until late in the second half. Swarthmore tied the game at two with just eight minutes left in regulation. The Garnet capped the comeback with a goal 3:12 into overtime for the 3-2 win.

Summer Sklivas made four saves in net. The Knights outshot the Garnet 28-12.

Neumann (2-5) opens conference action this weekend when it travels to Keystone. The game gets underway at 1:00 PM.
