ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team fell at Lebanon Valley College 3-0 on Friday evening in the first match of the Lebanon Valley Quad. Set scores were 25-14, 25-8, 25-17.
Kat Wolf handed out 20 assists and had four service aces. Danielle Kwapisz notched 13 digs while Anna Waltz added 10. Kelsey D'Imperio, Sarah Sanderson and Waltz each had five kills.
The Knights started out strong as Wolf notched three of her service aces and Neumann jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. The Knights held a 10-5 when the Dutchmen started to make their move. LVC held NU to just five more points over the set as it made its way to 25 points.
The second set was all Lebanon Valley. Neumann did not help itself as it committed 14 attack errors, giving LVC easy points.
The Knights stayed within striking distance in the third set, staying within a few points. However, Neumann could not get over the hump and Lebanon Valley put away with match with the final sis points of the match.
Neumann (9-4) will face Bridgewater and Frostburg tomorrow in the second day of the Quad Match. Action gets underway at 11:00 AM.
