HENNIKER, N.H. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team completed a weekend series sweep of New England College with a 2-0 shutout win on Saturday.

The Knights scored both goals in a six second span and both coming shorthanded in the second period. Bek Lucas scored at the 3:33 mark, unassisted. Shanelle Doucette followed just six seconds later off a pass from Megan Russelo.

"This weekend was a total team effort. We got contributions from all four forward lines, all three defensive pairings and both goalies. Our special teams were huge in both wins," said Head Coach Gina Kearns.

Chelsea Polidoro made 17 saves in the shutout win. The Knights outshot the Pilgrims 44-17. Both teams were 0-for-4 on the power play.

Neumann (3-9-1) heads to Stevenson on Tuesday for non-conference action beginning at 1:00 PM.
