OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell 6-1 at Stevenson University on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Stevenson opened the scoring with a power play goal in the first period.

Neumann tied the game at one 1:34 into the second period. Lauren Cusack scored off assisted from Bek Lucas and Grace Klienbach.

The Mustangs answered with three goals in the second, with the third one coming with one second left in the period.

Stevenson scored two power play goals in the final two minutes of regulation for the 6-1 final. The Knights outshot the Mustangs 10-8 in the final period in an attempt to get back in the game.

Justina Mayr made 29 saves in net. The Knights had 24 shots on goal.

Neumann gets back to ECAC West action this week when it hosts No. 2 Elmira for a pair of games. The puck is slated to drop at 7:00 PM on Friday and 3:00 PM on Saturday.
