CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey dropped the second game of the weekend series at Cortland, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The overall game was quiet with just six penalties and two goals. The Red Dragons scored the first goal at the 7:29 mark of the second period.

The Knights had two power play opportunities in the third period, but could not find the back of the net. With the goalie pulled in the attempt to notch the game-tying goal, Cortland was able to score an empty net goal to seal the win.

Justina Mayr made 23 saves in net. Neumann (3-14-1, 1-11 ECAC West) returns home next weekend for a pair of conference game with Utica. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM on Friday and 3:00 PM on Saturday.
