GENEVA, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell at Hobart College 6-2 in ECAC West action on Friday evening.

The teams traded goals in the first period. The Statesmen scored first at the 13:10 mark. Two minutes later, Brandon Gagne scored his first of the season to tie the game at one. Ryan Luiten drew the assist.

Hobart exploded in the second period and put four goals in the back of the net. The Statesmen scored the only special teams goal 3:30 into the third period for a 6-1 lead.

Mike Davis scored midway through the third period off an assist from Nick Perruccio for a 6-2 score.

Ben Curley started the game and made 32 saves in net in two periods. Matt Gibney was between the pipes for the third period and made 20 saves.  Hobart outshot Neumann 58-39.

Neumann (9-6-4, 5-3-1 ECAC West) and Hobart (13-6, 6-3 ECAC West) will face-off again tomorrow evening beginning at 7:30 PM.
