Men's Basketball Gets Final Shot, but Falls to Keystone

LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell at Keystone College 75-72 on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

DeShawn Lowman led the Knights with 22 points. Denzel Yard hit four three-pointers en route to his 14 points. Andrew Moye netted 12 points and James Butler added 11.

The first part of the game was a back and forth battle with the teams staying within a few points of one another. With the Giants holding a one point lead, 19-18, they went on a 21-6 run to take a 40-24 lead. Keystone connected on nine three-pointers in the first half as it took a 44-29 lead into halftime.

Each team went on runs in the second half. The Knights were able to get back to within three points, 54-51, midway through the half. The Giants answered with an 11-1 run extend their lead to 65-52. Neumann went on the next run, including three-pointers by Lowman and Yard, and with 2:22 left in regulation, Moye hit a jumper to tie the game at 71.

The Giants scored the next basket, one of their 13 buckets from beyond the arc, with 55 seconds on the clock. Lowman went 1-for-2 from the line for a 74-72 game with 29 second remaining. Keystone also went 1-for-2 from the line for a three-point game and Neumann's ball. Kevin Green had a look at a three-pointer to tie the game, but could not get the shot to fall and the buzzard sounded.

Neumann (10-9, 7-5 CSAC) travels to Rosemont on Wednesday evening for CSAC action beginning at 7:00 PM.
