GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't rally at Gwynedd Mercy University and fell 4-1 on Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
The Griffins scored two goals within a minute and a half to take a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. GMU added another goal in the 23
rd minute and took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Gwynedd Mercy took a 4-0 lead in the 47
th minute.
Jamie King scored the lone goal for Neumann in the 66
th minute to spoil the shutout.
Alexa DeRose and
Lexi Casper each had six shots as the Knights had 16 in the game.
Kristen Montgomery made four saves in net.
Neumann (1-11, 1-6 CSAC) will host Marywood in conference action on Saturday afternoon as part of the Homecoming festivities. Kick-off is slated for 4:30 PM.
