Women's Soccer Out Paced by Pacers

ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action against Marywood University on Saturday afternoon.

The Pacers opened the scoring in the 10th minute and went on to score three goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead at the break.

Marywood would add a goal in the 59th minute for a 4-0 game. The Knights would spoil the shutout bid in the 73rd minute when Alexa DeRose fed Jamie King the ball and King slipped the ball past the Pacer keeper.

Kristen Montgomery made five saves in net for the Knights. King led Neumann with four shots.

Neumann (1-12, 1-7 CSAC) will host Rosemont on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
