Box Score 2 CHESTER, Pa. - The Neumann University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches a tri-match on Saturday. The Knights fell to host Widener 3-2 and the Stockton 3-0.
In the first match against Widener, Neumann won the first two sets 26-14 and 25-13. The Pride came back to win sets three and four 25-22 and 25-1 to force and fifth set, which Widener took 15-11 for the match.
Julia Malseed and
Anna Waltz each had 16 kills in the match.
Kat Wolf handed out 55 assists. Five Knights tallied double-digits in digs, led by Waltz with 15. Wolf and
Nikki Collevechio each had 13, Malseed 12 and
Kristine Quinn added 10.
The team notched 15 service aces. Malseed served up five with Collevechio and
Rachael Hoffman added four each.
Against Stockton in the second match, the Ospreys took the sets 25-12, 25-14, 25-15.
Malseed and
Shayne Sullivan led Neumann with six kills. Wolf dished out 20 assists. Malseed notched 10 digs.
Neumann (11-17) will host Rosemont and Notre Dame on Thursday evening in two conference matches beginning at 5:00 PM.
