ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tied with Goucher College in double overtime on Tuesday afternoon in the final home game of the season.
The Gophers scored the first goal of the game in the 27
th minute and took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
In the 83
rd minute,
Kahlyn Ford scored her first goal of the season to tie the game.
Alexa DeRose inbounded a corner kick.
Lexi Casper had a shot that the Gophers keeper saved. Ford then put the ball it the back of the net off of the rebound.
Kristen Montgomery made 19 saves in net. This was the third straight overtime game for the Knights, who are 2-0-1 in those games.
Neumann (3-12-1) will wrap up the season on Friday when it heads to Notre Dame for conference action beginning at 4:00 PM.
