Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team opened the first night of the Knights Fall Classic with two tough loses against Scranton and St. Mary's (Md.) on Friday evening.

Against Scranton, Neumann lost 3-1. After falling in the first set 25-20, the Knights battled in set two, but ending up dropping a 27-25 decision. Neumann took set three 25-23. The Royals came back and won set four 25-19.

Rachael Hoffman led the Knights with 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .360. Anna Waltz added 12 kills. Kat Wolf handed out 39 assists and 23 digs. Julia Malseed tallied 12 sigs while Waltz and Kristine Quinn each added 11.

In the second match of the evening, Neumann fell to St. Mary's 3-0. Set scores were 26-24, 25-10, 25-19. Waltz led Neumann with eight kills. Wolf dished out 24 assists. Nikki Collevechio, Karlie Greenhalgh and Waltz had 10 kills apiece.

Neumann (9-13) will continue play tomorrow in the Knights Fall Classic against Mount Saint Vincent and Roanoke.
