ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell 73-41 in the Neumann Tip-Off Tournament Championship game against Albright College on Saturday afternoon.

JoHanna Metzger was named to the All-Tournament team.

The Knights scored the first four points of the contest. With three minutes left in the first quarter the teams were tied at eight. The Lions ended the first on an 8-2 run for a 16-10 lead. Albright continued its run into the second quarter and took a 28-14 lead with 5:08 left in the half. The Lions would hold a 34-21 advantage into the break.

Albright continued with the pressure throughout the second half to cruise to the 73-41 win.

Alex Fernandez led the Knights with eight points as 11 Knights put points on the board. Metzger added seven points and nine rebounds.

Neumann (1-1) will participate in the Swarthmore Classic next weekend. The Knights will face Swarthmore on Saturday and Randolph-Macon on Sunday, both beginning at 1:00 PM.
