On Friday evening, Mr. Delany, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Neumann, will be dropping a ceremonial puck.
He will also receive a #50 jersey on behalf of Neumann's President, Dr. Rosalie Mirenda.

Neumann University, originally Our Lady of Angels College, was founded in 1965 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. When the doors first opened, the total enrollment was 115 female students. Over the years the college continued to expand to meet the needs of their students and in 1980 the name was changed to Neumann College.

In 2009, the college changed its name once again, as it became Neumann University. Now, 50 years later Neumann educates nearly 3,000 co-ed students and will officially celebrate a milestone as it marks its 50th anniversary on charter day in March 2015.
