ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University women's lacrosse team opened Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a convincing 20-5 win over Cedar Crest College Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda Fedak led the Knights with three goals and one assist as 14 players found the back of the net. Jordan Hopkins, Taylor Klever, Diana Caicedo, and Alexa McIntyre all netted a pair of goals.

Fedak put the Knights on the board scoring 17 seconds into the game. Neumann continued with nine straight goals to take a 10-lead with 10:25 left in the first half. The Falcons scored their first goal of the game with 8:04 on the clock. The Knights answered right back, scoring two straight to go up 12-1. Cedar Crest scored the final goal of the half. Neumann was up 12-2 heading into the second half.

The Falcons started the second half scoring three straight goals for a 12-5 score. The Knights netted eight unanswered goals to seal the victory. Erin Meehan, Kahlyn Ford, and Lindsay Kern each scored in the second half for their first collegiate goal.

Gabby Curry started in net and made three saves for the win. Becca Wallace played the final 10 minutes. The Knights outshot the Falcons 43-9.

Neumann (2-3, 1-0 CSAC) will host Immaculata University on Saturday. Action is slated to get underway at 1:00 PM.
