Box Score ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell to Marywood University 17-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Ryan O'Kane led the Knights with two goals and 11 shots. Adam Fagan tallied the other goal for Neumann. Rob Neri and Tylar Schlimme each recorded an assist.
Antonio Gibson started in net and played the first half. Gibson made 10 saves and picked up six ground balls. Tom Blakeslee made seven saves in the second half.
The Pacers came out to an early four goal lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Knights would score twice, but the Pacers kept the pressure on as they tacked on another six goals to take a 10-2 lead into halftime.
The Pacers continued coming out strong as they scored four times in the third quarter and three times in the fourth to take home the 17-3 win.
Neumann (0-6, 0-1 CSAC) will hit the road for the first time in a month and travel to Keystone for a CSAC match-up on Saturday. Game is slated to start at 3:30 PM.
