ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Cabrini College 14-4 in Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Wednesday night.
Jordan Hopkins led the Knights with three goals. Amanda Fedak scored one goal and tallied one assist. Gabby Curry recorded eight saves in net.
The Cavaliers started the game scoring three straight goals. Fedak put Neumann on the board at the 21:55 mark cutting the lead down to two. Cabrini extended the lead back to three but the Knights answered right back when Hopkins found the back of the net. The Cavaliers went on to score four straight goals to put them up 8-2 with 14:06 to go in the half. Hopkins scored the Knights final goal of the half. Neumann trailed 10-3 going into the second half.
Five minutes into the second half Cabrini scored to go up by eight. Hopkins answered back with her third goal of the game, but that wasn't enough as the Cavaliers went on to score three unanswered goals. Neumann fell to Cabrini 14-4.
Neumann (3-4, 2-1 CSAC) will head to Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday for its fourth straight conference game. The game is slated to get underway at 12:00 PM.
