Dolenti Scores Her 100th Goal as Neumann Defeats Rutgers-Camden

ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University women's lacrosse team pulled away with an 18-7 victory against Rutgers University-Camden in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.

Amanda Fedak scored five goals to lead the Knights in their victory. Jordan Hopkins and Shae Risley each scored three goals and Rebecca Dolenti and Gabbey Murray scored two goals apiece. Dolenti's goal in the second half was her 100th in a Knights uniform. Gabby Curry started in net and recorded 10 saves to pick up the victory.

The beginning of the game was back and forth. Emily Sanders started the scoring as she found the back of the net 2:33 into the game. Rutgers-Camden took its only lead of the game at the 21:51 mark of the first half. The Knights would go on and score five straight goals to take a 7-4 advantage. Neumann went into halftime with a 10-5 lead.

Neumann would control the pace in the second half and opened by scoring the first five goals. Dolenti scored her 100th goal at the 4:48 mark as she put the ball in the back of the net off a pass from Murray.

The Knights outshot Rutgers-Camden by a 40-21 margin and picked up 49 groundballs against Rutgers-Camden's 34 groundballs.

Neumann (8-4) will host Rosemont College on Wednesday in Neumann's home regular season finale. The game is slated to start at 4:00 PM and the seniors will be recognized before the game.
