Women's Lacrosse to Face Cabrini for CSAC Championship

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team will face Cabrini College for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights advanced to their third straight CSAC Championship game with a 16-12 victory over Immaculata on Wednesday night. This is the third straight year that Neumann and Cabrini have faced off in the championship game.


Amanda Fedak scored six goals for the Knights. Jordan Hopkins scored three times for the Knights. Gabby Curry recorded 13 saves to pick up the win.

Neumann is led by first team selection Jordan Hopkins. She netted 47 goals and 14 assists for a combined 61 points. Five of her goals came as game winners. She picked up 15 ground balls and 95 draw controls. The Knights will also lean on CSAC Rookie of the Year Gabby Curry. She played in 14 games and had a 9-4 record in over 600 minutes in goal.

Neumann met Cabrini on March 25 and saw Cabrini come away with the 14-4 victory. Hopkins scored three goals for the Knights. Curry started in net and recorded eight saves.

Action gets underway at 12:00 PM in Radnor, Pa. on Saturday afternoon. The winner will receive the CSAC AQ to the NCAA Tournament.
