Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team went 1-1 on the second day of the Buttermaker Classic Tournament on Saturday. The Knights defeated DeSales 3-1 in the first match and then fell to host Muhlenberg 3-0 in the night cap.

Julia Malseed was named to the All-Tournament Team.

To begin the day, the Knights took four sets to pick up the 3-1 win against DeSales. The Bulldogs won the first set 25-21. Neumann came back to take set two 25-15, a close 26-24 third set and seal the win with a 25-21 fourth set.

Rachael Hoffman led Neumann with 11 kills. Anna Waltz and Malseed each added nine. Sarah Sanderson hit .389 en route to her eight kills. Kat Wolf handed out 32 assists.

Waltz and Malseed anchored the defense as well with 17 digs each. Nikki Collevechio tallied 12 and Wolf added 11.

Against host Muhlenberg, Neumann fell in three straight sets 28-26, 25-3, 25-23. Malseed led the Knights with 10 kills and 11 digs. Wolf dished out 22 assists.

Neumann (4-4) will open conference action on Wednesday when it heads to Marywood. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
