ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Centenary University on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Prior to the game, the Knights honored their three seniors:
Jamie King,
Brooke Harvey and
Lexi Casper.
The Knights had two quick chances as the game started, getting a corner just 27 seconds into the game. However, the teams then went down to the other end of the field and the Cyclones picked up a corner as well. Centenary capitalized on its corner to take a 1-0 lead 1:31 into the game.
The score remained 1-0 at the break and Neumann was outshooting Centenary 10-5.
In the 54
th minutes, the Cyclones shot a ball into the top corner of the net to double their lead. Centenary sealed the win with a tally in the 87
th minute.
The Knights outshot the Cyclones for the game, 16-10 overall and 9-6 on net.
Anna Attardi made three saves in net.
Neumann (7-6-1, 4-3-1 CSAC) will host Notre Dame on Wednesday in is final home game of the regular season. The CSAC match is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
