LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team defeated Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Keystone College 1-0 on a cold Saturday evening.

Senior Jamie King scored the lone tally of the game for the Knights off a feed from Ashley Francis. Goalie Anna Attardi played strong in net, making six saves in the shutout win.

Neumann controlled play early but despite heavily outshooting the Giants, the game would head to halftime tied at 0-0. The Knights would take a 10-4 advantage in shots into the break, along with a 3-0 edge in corner kicks.

In the second half, Neumann would be rewarded for its chances just eleven minutes into the period. Francis played a nice through ball to King, who streaked in behind the Keystone backline and buried a ball to the far post to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. The Giants would push for an equalizer late in the game, but the Knights defense shut the door on each chance. Neumann would walk away with a big 1-0 road win that should go a long way to help the team's playoff chances.  

Neumann (9-6-1, 6-3-1 CSAC) will look to continue its playoff push on Thursday, October 27^th as it heads to Marywood University for the team's CSAC finale. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
