DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team continued its hot streak, defeating Delaware Valley University 105-77 on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
Five Knights scored double-digits in the win, led by
DeShawn Lowman with 20 points.
James Butler netted 19 points.
Tyaire Hudson and
Carl Wallace each added 15 points and
Tony Parker scored 10.
Darian Barnes pulled down 11 rebounds. The team shot 54.3% from the floor.
Early in the game the Aggies took a slight six point lead. With a 15-9 score, the Knights netted the next six points to tie the game. Neumann University started to make its move with the game tied at 20 and 8:53 left in the first half. The Knights went on a 15-4 run for a 35-24 advantage. The Aggies scored the final five points of the half, but the Knights held a 43-36 lead at the break.
Delaware Valley netted the first four points of the second half to get within three, 43-40. Over the next five minutes, Neumann went on a 12-5 run for a 13 points lead, 58-45, capped by a three-pointer by Lowman. The Knights continued to build their lead and went over the 20-point lead with 5:29 left in regulation, 84-63. Neumann would once again eclipse the 100 point mark when
Justin Fleming hit a three-pointer with 1:15 on the clock.
Neumann (7-0) will return home on Saturday after four road games to host Catholic University. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 PM, following the women's game against Catholic.
