LA PLUME, Pa. - The Neumann University women's basketball team defeated Keystone University 77-41 on Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

JoHanna Metzger led the Knights scoring a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Metzger also had three blocks and three steals.
Lauren Legler netted 21 points. Â

The Knights started the game on fire, scoring the first six points and going on an 11-2 run over the first six minutes. The Knights remained pressuring, finishing the first quarter with a 10 point lead, 17-7.

Neumann continued with intensity and scored the first seven points in the second quarter. The Knights only allowed Keystone four points, while scoring 21 points. The Knights went on a 14-0 run during the quarter. The Giants scored the last basket of the half with 1:13 on the clock. Neumann went into halftime leading 38-11. Â

The Giants and Knights traded baskets during the third quarter. Keystone outscored Neumann by a slim 16-14 margin. Keystone finished the quarter going on a 9-2 run, all points coming in free throws, for a 52-27 score heading into the final 10 minutes.

In the fourth quarter, the Knights were able to maintain their lead, outscoring Keystone 25-14. Neumann's lead from the first half helped it come away with the 77-41 win.

Neumann (12-10, 10-3 CSAC) will travel to Cedar Crest College on Saturday for CSAC action starting at 1:00 PM.
